Boiler Efficiency
The energy efficiency of any boiler installation is of major importance. An inefficient boiler can contribute to large utility bills, creating an unnecessary expense while being able to meet the hot water needs of you and your family. Boiler specialists can help you identify the most efficient type of boiler for your home, helping you save money in the long run by minimising monthly energy bills.
The choice of boilers can be overwhelming when you have so many different types of boilers to choose from: condensing boilers, combi boilers, system boilers, and regular boilers. Each type of boiler comes with different internal functions, associated costs and a unique set of regulations. In the UK there are two main types of boiler. The most popular is the combi boiler while the older conventional boiler is not often used.
Installation Costs
The cost of a boiler installation varies according to the type of boiler required, the placement of the boiler and the complexity of the set-up. Many companies provide a free initial consultation, to help you decide on the best boiler to meet your family’s needs. After recommending a type of boiler for your home, you should be presented with a quote for the required parts and for the cost of the labour required for the physical installation itself.
Is it time for a new and more energy efficient boiler? Are you concerned about the costs of an installation? We provide free, no obligation boiler installation quotes all year round. If you’re concerned about the efficiency of your boiler, get in touch with us today and wave goodbye to those hefty monthly expenses while staying warm and cosy indoors.
What type of gas system would be most
Combination Boiler
A combination/combi boiler is both a high-efficiency water heater and a central heating boiler combined (hence the name) within one compact unit.
Further benefits of a combi boiler includes hot water being delivered through your taps or shower at mains pressure with no need for a hot water cylinder.
You only burn the gas you require.

Conventional Open Vented
A Conventional open vented system requires a lot more space than the traditional combi, the system would require a boiler, a hot water storage cylinder and header which thankfully is normally located in loft space.
The benefit of this type of system is that many occupants may use the hot water at the same time without a reduction in water flow rate.
However, once all the hot water within the cylinder has been used it will require sometime to re heat.

Conventional Sealed System
A sealed system boiler directly heats your central heating system as well as hot water storage cylinder.
They are heat only and work like a regular conventional boiler on the principle of stored hot water.
